On October 21, 2026, exactly 34 years after the launch of the Amiga 1200, Deaf Dog Studio unveiled the official website for Without Frontier, a new game being developed for the Amiga and inspired by the classics Elite and Frontier.

The game is now in an advanced stage of development, and the studio has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support improved graphics and sound design.

A Real Universe, Not Just a Simulation

Without Frontier aims to deliver not only a realistic space simulation but also a realistic universe, recreating space within 150 light-years of Earth. This real-world foundation is complemented by procedurally generated content. Compared to Frontier, the game adds story-driven missions and a range of new features, including alien races.

What's Next

Development is progressing well, and if it continues on track, a release date will be announced in approximately one month. The launch is expected to be followed by one or two DLC expansions.

Beyond that, the studio already has another game in story development, built on a similar engine. This time, the setting moves to the post-apocalyptic depths of Earth's oceans.
